Megyn Kelly Defends Claim That Women Should “Deal” With Sexual Harassment

video

Yesterday NY Post columnist Cindy Adams wrote that women should just “deal with it” if they felt that they were being treated inappropriately on the job. Today, woman-on-the-job Megyn Kelly responded by backing up her claim and encouraging women to use more “empowering” venues than the courtroom to defend themselves against sexual harassment.

It’s worth noting that Kelly prefaced her commentary that she was playing “devil’s advocate” while discussing the matter with former prosecutor Wendy Murphy. She did not, however, make the point that women should simply conform to sexual harassment but, rather, that running to a lawyer every time someone stares at a woman’s chest promotes a culture of legal dependency on women. While Murphy considered that many sexual harassment lawsuits were valid and there are laws on the table that need to be enforced, she provided an amusing anecdote on how she combated sexual harassment in her workplace without having to fill out any papers.

Perhaps noteworthy Cindy Adams employer (the NY Post) and Megyn Kelly’s (Fox News) are both owned and operated by News Corp.
