Sorry Howard Stern, Right Now Glenn Beck Is The King Of All Media

05_Flatbed_2 - SEPTEMBERFox News host Glenn Beck doesn’t just have a hugely popular television show, a top radio show and a just-completed comedy tour. (Also – he has more keys.)

But he also writes books. And his most recent book will debut as the #1 book on the New York Times bestsellers list. But that’s not all.

Because not only is “Arguing With Idiots” the #1 book on the Times‘ hardcover non-fiction bestseller list, his other book, “Common Sense,” is currently #1 on the paperback non-fiction list.

The release notes “only a handful of authors to have reached #1 on both the fiction and non-fiction New York Times lists” – we’re still working to see how many times its happened where an author has the #1 book in non-fiction paperback and hardcover. Suffice to say, it’s very rare. (Meanwhile online, Sarah Palin has cornered the market right now.)

It’s another notch in the belt of brand “Glenn Beck” – and it has to be some sweet revenge because of the New York Times connection.

Here’s the release from the book’s publisher:

Glenn Beck’s latest book, ARGUING WITH IDIOTS: HOW TO STOP SMALL MINDS AND BIG GOVERNMENT will debut at #1 on the October 11th New York Times hardcover non-fiction bestseller list, giving Glenn two current NYT #1 bestselling books. GLENN BECK’S COMMON SENSE is #1 on the NYT paperback non-fiction list and has sold over 1 million copies since its release on June 16th. It is the book’s 16th straight week on the list.

ARGUING WITH IDIOTS is Beck’s fourth consecutive NYT #1 bestseller and Beck is one of only a handful of authors to have reached #1 on both the fiction and non-fiction New York Times lists.

ARGUING WITH IDIOTS is the first hardcover title released under Beck’s groundbreaking partnership with Simon and Schuster to publish a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books for all age groups.

Using his trademark straightforward approach, Glenn Beck shows readers how to influence everyone within earshot using actual facts and common sense. Packed with humor, illustrations, and informative sidebars loaded with well-researched facts, ARGUING WITH IDIOTS arms readers with the knowledge and know-how for handling any argument.

Gee, and I miss all those Color Of Change press releases. I hope Glen paid them for all the free publicity!

I’m going to guess that the NYT gives up on this whole ‘Bestsellers’ list. It must be tough on the poor dears.

  • Jelperman

Typical right-winger who has written more books than he’s read.

I hope everyone realizes that right-wingers arrange to have their books bought in bulk -the same scam used by the Church of Scientology.

I wonder if Jon Klein and the powers that be at CNN have stopped kicking themselves yet? While they were pumping big money into Anderson Cooper who has failed to live up to all the hype, they were sitting on a gold mine and didn’t even know it.

Jelperman is using a tired old liberal argument that’s been shot down numerous times. I love it how liberals can’t stand it when nothing goes their way. Liberals can’t sell books. Liberals are dying on the tv networks (poor MSNBC and CNN). Liberals can’t draw **** on radio at all. Airhead America failure.

So they lie about book sales. They lie about viewership. FNC has over 60 million unique viewers each month, but if you listened to ones around here it would be 5 million or so.

    They just can’t handle reality.

Libra Blue you make a great point. What did Greta say about Coopers show? Coopers show has a staff of around 50 people. Her show has only 15 people. CNN spent around $20 million promoting his show. They were going to make the new “Paris Hilton” a star and they failed miserably.

Its as bad as MSNBC. They are paying Keith $8 million a year for a show that generates dog **** ratings. He would probably be overpaid at the $4 million he was getting. If NBC is sold off, Comcast needs to find a loophole in his contract and just let him go.

@CaptanAmerica, Anderson used to be a first rate journalist, but he got caught up in his own celebrity and is now content to be a “matinee idol” and another arm of the Obama publicity machine, ignoring any stories that might reflect badly on Obama and the Democrats, like ACORN, Van Jones, Grayson’s remarks, Harry Reid sneaking his little perk for his Nevada constituents into the health care bill, and the Democrats voting against putting the health care bill online to name a few. Yet he still insists that he is an objective journalist. I guess it depends on what your definiton of “objective” is.

I used to really respect and like Anderson so needless to say I am disappointed.

Keith may generate “dog ratings,” but his live numbers are stil beating Anderson on a regular basis and he isn’t even good looking!

Notice, to all clueless sheep, follow me, listen to my lies, be scared, they are going to get you, they will take your guns, your freedom is gone, “buy my book”, thank you Lord Beck!
