In an election that has seen a parade of their preferred nominees go down in screaming flames, the Tea Party has seen its relevance dwindle since their tri-cornered heyday. However, they can still manage to get Cenk Uygur worked up. On Tuesday night’s The Young Turks, Cenk bemoaned the rapidity with which they were “co-opted” by banks, and went off on Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL), calling him a “Tea Party whore.”

You know what we haven’t had in a while? A good old fashioned town hall moment. There haven’t really been that many since the health care town halls in 2009, but yesterday, Congressman Joe Walsh heard some interesting opinions from a constituent. A woman interrupted Walsh to complain about the “seditious behavior” of people in elected office, and said that Obama should be honest about his political philosophy. What is that philosophy? According to this woman, “socialism… communism, Nazism, whatever.”

Outspoken conservative Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) told his constituents at a town hall over the weekend. According to a report in Think Progress, Walsh told his constituents that Americans voted for Barack Obama because he would be the first African-American president. Walsh said it ‘made us feel good’ about ourselves.

In a tense exchange on MSNBC, Martin Bashir questioned Congressman Joe Walsh about the sticky subject of his wife $117,000 in child support and interest.

“One of the things you’ve said is you will not place another dollar on the back of your children, right?” Bashir asked. “Absolutely!” Walsh agreed. “Can I ask you then, because something our viewers are concerned about, haven’t you already done that by inadequately paying child support that you owe to your wife and children?” Bashir asked. “Hey Martin, that’s an awkward segue on TV!” Walsh exclaimed.

Following news that Congressman Barney Frank would be retiring after 30 years of service in the US House of Representatives, Joe Walsh sent out a classy farewell letter snarky retort via Twitter, saying “Today Rep. Barney Frank announced he will not run for re-election & the Dow is up by almost 300 points. Coincidence?”

Congressman Joe Walsh (R-Ill) recently caused a stir with his unhinged performance at a small gathering of constituents, but the real star of that viral video hit was Melissa Rakestraw, a Walsh constituent who went toe-to-toe with him, and wouldn’t be shouted down. MSNBC’s Ed Schultz interviewed Rakestraw on Thursday night’s The Ed Show,  and the feisty letter carrier shared what Walsh told her when he was done screaming.

A video of Illinois Congressman Joe Walsh yelling at constituents went viral today. In it, Walsh is seen screaming and getting in the face of regular people after they suggested some more regulation might be needed to watch over banks and corporations. This afternoon, Walsh went on to Your World to offer an explanation on his odd behavior. Apparently he had “made the mistake of doing [the town hall] on an empty stomach with a little too much coffee.” I see.

Man, some Americans are so stupid, right! They just keep trying to blame the poor, poor banks and corporations for, y’know, stealing everyone’s money and ruining the economy! Fortunately, there are people out there who can talk some sense into these people. However, by “talk some sense” I, of course, mean “scream at them like an absolute lunatic” which is what Illinois Congressman Joe Walsh does in a video posted today to YouTube. In it, Walsh runs around a town hall in an Uno restaurant ranting and raving about people being too dumb to listen.

God, Joe. I feel ya. It must be so annoying when jerky people just refuse to listen to what you have to say.

As Mediaite readers know, Glenn Beck is the undisputed king of the angry monologue. Unfortunately though (or fortunately, depending on your opinion of the man), we haven’t gotten much of it recently in this time between his Fox News and GBTV shows. However, today on his radio show, Beck let loose with a torrent of anger and frustration at an issue he described as having been going on for a few weeks now. Before he began, Beck said he would post what he was going to say online, thus forever disproving anyone who thought he was a “shill” for the Republican Party.

Considering the amount of venom he then let out towards the GOP establishment, he can consider his point made.

Given the assembly-line efficiency with which Congress seems to generate scandals of the “family values” variety, it takes something truly outrageous to make Americans balk these days. Last night, Lawrence O’Donnell unveiled something so simple, it may top all of this year’s sex scandals on Capitol Hill– Rep. Joe Walsh, a Tea Party favorite who released a video refusing to “place one more dollar of debt on the backs of my kids,” has a six-digit child support debt of his own.

The punches just keep rolling in with this debt ceiling crisis… A recent segment on CNN’s The Situation Room revealed that some of the Republican hardliners in the debt discussions have personal finance problems that rival those afflicting the country. CNN’s Brian Todd revealed that Senator Mike Lee of Utah, Congressman Joe Walsh of Illinois, Congressman Tim Griffin of Arkansas and Congressman Kevin Yoder of Kansas are all in financial situations that distinctly do not reflect their policies.

On the heels of yesterday’s Hardball dust-up with Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Il), which saw the Congressman score big with his “thrill up the leg” zinger, but also featured hot Chris Matthews landing body blow after body blow on the lack of substance in the GOP’s “Cap, Cut, and Balance” plan, Matthews followed up tonight by noting the number of times a belligerent Walsh said the host’s name during the interview. It was Matthews’ “Big Number” for Wednesday night, and Roger Maris would be proud.

Yesterday, we called the epic debate between Chris Matthews and Rep. Joe Walsh one of “the most exciting and in-your-face political discussions ever recorded” and it’s clear we weren’t the only ones that enjoyed it. Last night, Sean Hannity brought the clip in front of The Great American Panel who, unsurprisingly, all seemed to feel like Walsh came out on top. What may have been surprising was just how harsh one panel member, Matthews former network-mate Tucker Carlson, was in his description of the MSNBC host.

Add today’s debate between Chris Matthews and Republican Congressman Joe Walsh to the Hardball hall of fame for the most exciting and in-your-face political discussions ever recorded. Matthews perhaps set the tone by asking Walsh why Grover Norquist (Matthews’ sparring partner from yesterday) was the leader of the Republican party? Walsh dismissed the question as complete nonsense and began unloading on Matthews with a series of blows that were so brutal and blunt that they truly must be viewed to be believed.

Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-Fl), King was asked by Wolf Blitzer if he would follow the example of freshman Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Il) and refuse his taxpayer-funded health insurance.
