Stephen Colbert Ridicules Post Debate Dust-Up Between Michele Bachmann And CBS News

Saturday night’s GOP debate hosted by CBS News and National Journal focused on foreign policy and, ostensibly, U.S. diplomatic efforts around the world. But diplomacy was in short supply during a post-debate dust-up between CBS News’ political director John Dickerson and the Michele Bachmann campaign, after he unintentionally CCed one of Bachmann’s staffers on an e-mail dismissing the GOP candidate. Bachmann’s campaign predictably used his email to allege liberal bias, to which Stephen Colbert agreed, saying “CBS is clearly biased for asking more questions of the left wing candidates like Herman Cain, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich.”

Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann is crying foul after CBS’ foreign policy debate yesterday, accusing the network of media bias because of an e-mail that indicated she would not be getting as many questions as the other candidates.
