Kathy Griffin went on The View this morning to promote the upcoming season of her Emmy-winning show (which premieres tonight on Bravo) and talk about the stunts viewers should expect to see in the new episodes, like entering herself in a children’s beauty pageant and receiving a very public gynecological exam. It was co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, however, who provided the self-proclaimed self-promoter with the best press for the premiere: an onstage host spat.

Hot off serving his first night in jail for chaining himself to the White House fence to protest Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, Lt. Dan Choi granted Newsweek an exclusive interview, and he is still not happy with co-protesters Kathy Griffin and the Human Rights Campaign.

Kathy Griffin was in D.C. earlier this week for a rally at the capitol to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” While the My Life On The D List celebrity has made gay rights one of her biggest causes, she also took a moment to talk to interviewer Liz Glover about Scientology, Levi Johnston, and flying on Southwest.

Gay rights activist and enlisted soldier (still, though maybe not for long) Lt. Dan Choi attended a Human Rights Campaign-sponsored protest today during what was supposed to be a peaceful protest against the military’s Don’t Ask Don’t Tell Policy. Exasperated by the protesters’ attitude, apparently, Lt. Choi and fellow soldier Capt. Jim Pietrangelo chained themselves to the fence of the White House.

Comedian Kathy Griffin dropped an f-bomb as she co-hosted CNN’s New Year’s Eve show – the second year in a row she cursed live on-air.

But despite reports to the contrary, Mediaite has confirmed Griffin is not banned from the network.

Does saying the F-word on live TV even matter anymore? Kathy Griffin will be co-hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve coverage with Anderson Cooper tonight, live from Times Square. Last night, CNN viewers got a taste of what was to come as Griffin joined guest host Erica Hill on the set of AC 360, in what turned out to be a remarkably entertaining segment. However, the real revelation in the interview turned out to be Ms. Hill, whose comedic timing and whip-smart retorts showed that she has the chops to stay with anyone. Since neither health care nor town hall protests appear to draw ratings, one cable news network decided to go a non-news route.

CNN let Kathy Griffin take over Larry King Live at 9pmET (which she has in the past), and conduct a full-on non-interview with Levi Johnston. It was Griffin doing a stand-up routine for more than 10 minutes, and it makes CNN’s claims of being the more ‘news-focused’ network that much more laughable.

Kathy Griffin may be out to single-handedly save us from the summer news slump! Last night Griffin filled in for Larry King and welcomed Sarah Palin grand-baby daddy Levi Johnston as her guest. Are they dating? You’ll have to watch and decide. Griffin introduces Johnston by way of mentioning she woke up spooning with him, and says she has found love in his “chocolate beautiful eyes.” It’s unclear whether Levi is in on the joke — if it is a joke. Or merely is the joke.

The biggest story coming out of last night’s Teen Choice Awards did not involve Miley Cyrus or a Jonas Brother. Instead, D-lister Kathy Griffin, never one to shy away from controversy, commanded the spotlight with her red carpet “date” – Levi Johnston.
