Stephen Colbert’s Super PAC Has Raised More Money Than Ron Paul’s Super PAC

Rep. Ron Paul Insists He Can Still ‘Theoretically’ Win: Romney Could ‘Stumble’
Despite trailing Mitt Romney 685 to 63 in Republican delegates, Ron Paul doggedly affirmed he still could get enough delegates to seize the nomination. Appearing on CNBC’s Squawk Box, Paul told the panelists he would not quit the race when it was still technically possible to win. “Theoretically you can,” Paul doggedly asserted. “It’s not likely, but you can’t ever tell. Nobody knew Santorum was going to drop out [this month]. But only about a little over half the votes have been counted. When we come up with Texas and California, another third of the votes are yet to be counted so you don’t know. But in theory, you can. In practical counting, I think we’re very realistic.”

This he told Jessica Yellin on John King USA last night, when asked repeatedly why he would not exercise the power of his position and just tell the last two remaining Republican candidates to go away. “People are tired of folks in Washington telling them what they should do,” he explained, responding that he wanted voters to decide whether Rep. Paul and Gingrich should remain in the race.

Christie Equates Non-Romney Candidates With Obama: Be ‘Very Leery’ Of Congressmen
Chris Christie is rapidly emerging as Mitt Romney‘s most valuable surrogate and he came out swinging this week in Chicago, telling an audience at a rally to be “very leery” of members of Congress– which, of course, all the remaining non-Romney candidates are. Namely, he phrased it as putting “another member of Congress” in there, implying that much of President Obama’s faults are beyond ideology and boil down to experience.

Rick Santorum Wins Alabama, Mississippi Primaries
Today’s Southern primaries are delegate rich and possibly make-or-break for some Republican candidates, notable Georgian Newt Gingrich, who had only South Carolina and Georgia to his name coming into today’s race. For now, we at least know that the numbers in Alabama appear to show Rick Santorum has taken that state away from Gingrich, and NBC is projecting him the winner.

Fox News Poll: Latinos Care More About Economy Than Immigration, Backing Obama And Romney
A new poll from Fox News Latino released today is proving what many pundits have predicted for some time about the 2012 election: for Republicans, it will be an uphill battle, and a Latino on the ticket would help. But as with many surveys, the devil lies in the details– namely, the finding that Latin American voters of all stripes are concerned with jobs, the economy, and education far more than with immigration.
Ron Paul: Obama’s Apology For Quran Burnings Isn’t Wrong, But ‘It’s Pretty Much Irrelevant’
Contrasted with Newt Gingrich‘s insistent rhetoric on how President Obama should not be apologizing to the Muslim world for the Quran burnings that took place at a U.S. military camp in Afghanistan last month, Ron Paul said on CNN’s State of the Union today that it wasn’t necessarily the wrong thing to do. However, Paul did say it was irrelevant because an apology will do very little to sway the feelings of the Muslim world, and said that beyond any one apology, a change in U.S. foreign policy might be necessary.

Gingrich appeared on This Week earlier today, and George Stephanopoulos told Gingrich that at this point in the race, it is almost mathematically impossible for him to amass enough delegates by the convention to have an uncontested race, and any sort of surge on Gingrich’s part will lead to a brokered convention.
