Studio B guest host Trace Gallagher talked with Fox News Sunday’s Chris Wallace and ask him about CNN’s John King‘s controversial opening debate question on Newt Gingrich‘s “open marriage” scandal. “Yeah, I would have!” Wallace exclaimed.

During Fox News’ Studio B, Shepard Smith tackled the contentious SOPA issue, which has spurred Wikipedia to shutdown on Wednesday. “If you are a content creator, and you are an artist and create something that you own, why should Google or anyone else be able to send it to someone without you being compensated for having created what they clearly want?” Smith questioned Fox Business Network’s Gerri Willis.

Here’s an odd / awesome / oddsome little moment from today’s edition of Fox News’ Studio B. Host Shepard Smith and panelists were discussing the case against Aruba’s Joran van der Sloot when they became momentarily distracted by… bellybutton marks.

By almost all measures starting sometime last year, Rick Santorum outdid himself in Iowa last night coming in at a very close (eight votes!) second place to Mitt Romney. But as his star rises, so do the concerns of those that remember statements he made when he was a longshot for the position or not even running. On today’s Studio B, Shepard Smith brought up one of Santorum’s most controversial comments.

fter watching much of the opinion coverage Fox News has done on Occupy Wall Street, you could be forgiven for thinking that critiquing the rich is a sin against man. Seriously, I’m pretty sure the phrase “class warfare” has been said more times on that network in the past few months than “this just in.” But a recent report from the Washington Post and University of Michigan that shows that the median net worth of Congress members has skyrocketed in the past year has raised some FNC producer’s dander (as well it should.) The figures are astounding.

Fox News political contributor Ed Rollins appeared on Studio B and told host Shepard Smith he was dismissive of the controversial Donald Trump debate scheduled for December 27, and was skeptical it would even happen. “He’s played in this game, he’s talked about running, he even talked yesterday about if we don’t have a strong enough candidate next May when his contract is up he may run. I think he disqualifies himself for that. This is not a reality show. This is a serious effort to choose a presidential candidate and the media ought to be totally involved in that.”

Fox News’s Shepard Smith became incredibly animated while discussing the Baby Lisa case on Wednesday’s Studio B and took some well placed shots at his guest legal commentators Arthur Aidala and Randy Zelin. The spirited discussion focused on the missing babies unwillingness to cooperate with local authorities, which he saw as “all you need to know.” His guests, however, defended the legal counsel provided to the parents, suggesting that the KC police were just more interested in “closing a file” than actual justice.

The Washington Post is having an identity crisis. It isn’t their identity that is at play– it’s Sen. Marco Rubio‘s, one they challenged because the Senator misstated the exact date of his parents’ exodus from Cuba. Those few years, they contend, turn the exodus into an emigration, and their trauma into fraud. Sen. Rubio responded in kind, writing in a column in Politico that it was “an insult to the sacrifices my parents made.” He’s wrong– his parents aren’t the ones the Post has insulted, but the parents of all million or so Cuban-American exiles, and the intelligence of its readers.

15 years ago Fox News Channel officially joined the cable airwaves, and seeing as they have spent the last decade as the most watched cable news outlet, you would forgive them for taking a victory lap to celebrate. Literally.

As part of a larger campaign to observe 15 years on air, Fox News Channel will be hitting the road, sending many of their top on-air talent to numerous locations around the nation to report live and broadcast their shows. Starting out from Orlando on September 19th, the tour will hit six cities across the country, airings special episodes of key shows from each stop.

Yesterday, an Indiana judge ruled that news outlets can be legally forced to reveal information about the people who post anonymously on their websites. On Studio B today, Shepard Smith and Judge Andrew Napolitano discussed the uses for commenting without identification. Both of them seemed to agree that there was a reason for it. However, after reading some of the comments on FoxNews.com, Smith questioned why anyone would want to read the stuff.

On this afternoon’s Studio B, Fox News’ Shepard Smith announced the Supreme Court’s 8 to 1 ruling that the fundamentalist, Kansas-based Westboro Baptist Church’s anti-gay protests near military funerals are protected under the First Amendment. The organization has faced overwhelming criticism not only for its hateful and homophobic rhetoric, but also for its proclivity towards protesting the funerals of soldiers and, recently, those organized for the victims of the Tucson, Arizona shooting that left nine dead and Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in the hospital with a bullet to the head.

Hot microphone accidents are always funny. This, though, might be one of my favorites. Today, President Obama was doing a joint press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Steve Harper which Fox News was covering live. When it came time for Harper to answer a question he first responded in English, before replying as well in French, at which point the channel quickly cut away. Before they left, though, a comically annoyed Shep Smith could be heard exclaiming “Fox don’t do French.”

Shepard Smith has definitely taken the lead in calling out the primarily Republican Senators who have, until today, appeared to block the passing of the First Responders bill that allocates additional health care resources for those individuals first on the scene on 9/11. Today the bill passed, and emotions got the best of Smith while reporting this story in a way that reminds viewers why he is among the very best in his game.

Mediaite Managing Editor Colby Hall joined Shepard Smith on Studio B to discuss the ongoing intrigue surrounding Julian Assange and the WikiLeaks story. What fascinated Shep was that this story did not break along traditional party lines, and Hall agreed, noting that since the extremes of both sides of the political spectrum were ultimately in favor of transparency, it is hard to determine whether Assange will ultimately be viewed as a hero or a villain.

Shepard Smith was busy talking about one of his favorite new topics, junk-touching, when suddenly a car chase interrupted the conversation. That’s right – the greatest Shepard Smith transition of all time took place this afternoon.

Former Republican presidential candidate John McCain appeared Studio B today, and host Shepard Smith did not beat around the bush in asking Senator McCain if he’d support a future Sarah Palin presidential run. This question came in the context of a Politico report suggesting party leaders were nervous that she would ostensibly pull the GOP too far right to be elected. While McCain lauded Palin and her family, he notably did not come out in clear support of his former running mate.

Today on Studio B, Mediaite’s own Colby Hall stopped by to discuss some of the biggest media stories of the week; namely President Obama’s appearance on The Daily Show and Joy Behar’s choice words for Sharron Angle. The two men seemed to agree on a number of subjects, never moreso than at the end of the segment, where they both felt that everyone is benefitting Behar’s comments, be it Angle, The View, or even Fox News and our little site here.

Fox News’s Shepard Smith has just announced that he’ll be interviewing controversial Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad tomorrow on Studio B and the Fox Report. The interview is a great get, even for the highest rated cable network—Ahmadinejad made headlines this afternoon when he suggested to the UN’s General Assembly that 9/11 may have been an inside job.

The news from the Gulf today is that the “Static Kill” operation has been successful and that the well is plugged and the oil dissipating although work is far from done. Shepard Smith, however, is skeptical and made that abundantly clear on today’s Studio B. With the director of the White House Office of Energy and Climate Change Policy, Carol Browner as his guest, Smith did everything but flat out accuse BP and the administration of lying about the clean up progress. Unsurprisingly, Browner was none too thrilled about the implication.

The dark story of British Petroleum and their many problems took a further disturbing turn yesterday when four Democratic senators from the states of New York and New Jersey accused the company of aiding in the release of convicted terrorist Abdelbaset al-Megrahi so that they could drill in Libya. Sens. Bob Menendez and Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey and Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand of New York are calling for BP to stop their drilling in Libya and testify in front of Congress on the issue. Menendez appeared on Studio B today to discuss this investigation into BP’s possible “blood money.”

Praise be to Shepard Smith! Amidst the tragic collapse of Lindsay Lohan, a lot have wondered where exactly her parents have been. Today, Lindsay’s estranged father Michael Lohan showed up on Studio B and received what can only be called a harsh interrogation by host Shepard Smith. Under the heat of a live television appearance (and the appropriately judgmental mien of Smith) Lohan lost his cool, dropping the F-bomb on live TV.

FNC’s Shepard Smith conducted the benchmark Alvin Greene interview yesterday, but he, like every subsequent sit-down, was not able to get the South Carolina Senate candidate to talk about that felony pornography charge.

Today Shep interviewed the woman accusing Greene of this – and now this whole thing has just become creepy.

Shepard Smith didn’t limit his ire to the inscrutable PR moves of BP CEO Tony Hayward today. Interviewing Assistant Secretary of State PJ Crowley on the United States’ position on the current conflict in Gaza today on Studio B, he put Crowley on the defensive about the fact that, according to Smith, America is one of the last countries to not take an unambiguous position on the matter.

While the aftermath of the attempted Times Square bombing has been overwhelmingly positive, the frightful possibility of a successful Times Square bombing was still looming over Studio B, where Shepard Smith repeatedly emphasized that the good news on Sunday morning could largely be attributed to luck, and that claiming the t-shirt vendor heralded for calling the police “thwarted” the bomb was simply “not true.”
