Ahmed Mohamed Speaks Out at Presser About Arrest over Clock

 

ahmed mohamedAhmed Mohamed, the high school freshman who was arrested over suspicions his homemade clock was a bomb, spoke out about the ordeal at a press conference this afternoon.

Mohamed brought in the clock to show to his engineering teacher, but one of his teachers mistook it for a bomb and the police showed up. Mohamed was arrested.

He received a huge swarm of online support, with #IStandWithAhmed trending all day and President Obama himself inviting him to the White House.

At the brief press conference today, Mohamed said he’s thinking of transferring schools and thanked all of his online supporters. He revealed he’s still suspended until Thursday and that he does plan to go to the White House.

Mohamed also encouraged other young people interested in engineering to “go for it.”
