What’s wrong with the grammar? If you’re referring to the repeat use of “is” in the second sentence, the writer was obviously repeating the word for effect. But even if he/she wasn’t, the grammar is still sound.

As an aside, my favorite Maxine Waters memory involves her standing atop a stage during the LA riots–while people were still being pulled from cars and beaten–fist thrust skyward, shouting “No Justice! No Peace!”
