Cable news ratings, December 1, 2010:

John King, USA will want a do-over on the first night of December.  Turning in an anemic 87,000 viewers 25-54, King’s numbers made Parker/Spitzer‘s 132,000 viewers look like a steamroller.

•At MSNBC, The Ed Show had a solid night, beating both airings of Chris Matthews‘ show, at 5 o’clock and 7.

Not quite up to Krakauer’s ” Maddow Tops Olbermann “, and , I like where this is going .

MSNBC would get even better ratings if they covered the story (in today’s Washington Post) about its parent company receiving a secret $16 billion cash infusion from the Fed. That’s right, MSNBC ran stories every day shilling for the administration while its parent company was getting secret cash on the side. This may be the most disgraceful moment in the history of American mainstream media.

And not a whisper about it on Mediaite. What does THAT tell you?

Schultz’s beats Matthews in toilet paper usage at the MSNBC shitter???
Why are you comparing the ratings for shows from the same network ??
WTF Mark…It’s ridiculous for many reasons.

The stories Mediaite does on cable ratings reminds me of a network that covers the 2012 Olympics and only reports the Silver and Bronze medals…

I object to the use of ‘Sergeant Schultz” to identify Ed Schultz of MSNBC. John Banner created a wonderful and lovable comic character on “Hogan’s Heroes”, and there is nothing wonderful or lovable about Ed Schultz. I admit I’ve only seen a few minutes of video clips of him, and have never seen his show. But please, let’s find a better nickname for him.
