Corey Lewandowski Suggests He Could Take John Kelly in a Fight

Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski insists that he was never in an altercation with Chief of Staff John Kelly but if he was, he would certainly bet on himself to be the winner.

Lewandowski’s comments  — made to TMZ on Sunday —  come after a New York Times report last month claiming that Kelly and Lewandowski faced off outside the Oval Office.

Earlier on Sunday, Trump’s former campaign manager denied to Fox News Sunday that he was involved in an altercation with Kelly requiring the Secret Service to break it up although he said “candid” discussions did occur.

Then, speaking to TMZ the same day, Lewandowski — who seemed unusually happy to see the TMZ reporter —  claimed he had never been in a White House fight and said specifically about the alleged altercation with Kelly: “Don’t believe the hype.”

He added: “I have no idea what you’re talking about my friend.”

Finally, when asked by TMZ he could take the retired United States Marine Corps general in a fight, Lewandowski replied, “I always bet on me.”

While Lewandowski insists he did not actually get into a White House fight with Kelly, the fierce Trump loyalist also had some bitter words for Kelly’s staff during his sidewalk talk with TMZ.

“They don’t support him and that’s the most disappointing part,” he said, not mentioning Kelly or other White House staffers by name.  “You got to support the president. If you work for the president, you got to support him. That’s what everybody should do.”
