It’s amazingly awful, so budget your time accordingly. You will want to watch this clip more than once. In a moment of delicious discomfort on Celebrity Apprentice, Star Jones decides to offer a suggestion to famously deaf actress Marlee Matlin. By whispering in her ear.

Matlin, who has an interpreter on the show, says through the interpreter (and by signing) “Star, I’m deaf, I can’t hear you.” It is truly every bit as bad as that sounds.

Come on MEDIAite. Miss Jones simply made an understandable mistake here. The funny thing is she got more of a response whispering into Marlee’s ear than she ever got from her co – stars on the View.

For a change, I agree with you. As someone who is deaf in one ear, I can attest to many friends and family making similar mistakes.

DUH ! There’s jones’s problem – she whispered. Every moron knows that you have to shout at a deaf person, not whisper ! (I guess that confirms that jones is even lower than a moron on the IQ scale.)

Are you serious? I’m not in TV, live on a farm, and have known Marlee is deaf for many years! On another note, Star is grumpy and, like Ms. Warwick, NEEDS TO GO!
