Don Lemon: I’m Sorry if My Rape Question Struck Anyone as Insensitive
CNN anchor Don Lemon took to the airwaves Wednesday afternoon to respond the massive uproar over his Tuesday evening question to an alleged Bill Cosby rape victim.
“As a victim myself I would never want to suggest that any victim could have prevented a rape,” Lemon said during today’s 3 p.m. broadcast. “If my question struck anyone as insensitive, I’m sorry as that was not my intention.”
There has been an overwhelmingly negative reaction to Lemon telling Joan Tarshis that “there are ways not to perform oral sex if you didn’t want to do it,” including “the using of the teeth.”
