Fox’s Eric Bolling Celebrates Presidents Day By Racing A Group Of Horribly Disfigured Mascots

In case you didn’t know, today is Presidents Day. I say that because I assume that anyone whose day has actually been affected by the holiday is celebrating it by still being asleep right now (Serious question; Do you think Obama gets off for Presidents Day? If not, total gyp). Anyway, there are some people who are still at work today like Fox News’ Eric Bolling. However, even though he can’t commemorate the men who have taken on the hardest job in the world by not doing his own, he’s come up with another way to spend the day; racing a bunch of horrible creatures that look like our nation’s greatest leaders.

We all celebrate in our own ways.

Outside the Fox News headquarters in New York, Bolling raced the costumed mascots of the Washington Nationals who do races around the teams’ diamond during the fourth quarter of every game. He was doing pretty well at first but (SPOILER WARNING) lost in the end to Honest Abe. Back inside, Steve Doocy mocked him for losing a race to a guy wearing a 300 lb head. Fair enough but, as we all know, Abraham Lincoln was famously speedy. In fact, the Civi War began in proper after Lincoln totally humiliated Robert E. Lee during the commemorative White House Inauguration 5K.

Yes, we all celebrate Presidents Day in our own way. Some people sleep in. Some race mascots. And I make up historical facts. Tune into the site later and I’ll tell you about the time Teddy Roosevelt saved his son through an arm wrestling match. It’s kind of like the plot of Over the Top, but more presidential.
