Nancy Grace And Dan Abrams Spar Over Casey Anthony Pregnancy Rumors

On Thursday, HLN host Nancy Grace joined ABC legal analyst and Mediaite founder Dan Abrams on Good Morning America to discuss — and disagree on — the pregnancy rumors floated by Casey Anthony‘s defense. Namely, the idea that her own dad, George Anthony, had fathered Caylee Anthony.

At one point in the segment, Abrams noted that Anthony’s defense team planned and presented a defense that was “sort of consistent” with what Anthony had been saying.

“Dan,” cried Grace, “you are putting perfume on the pig! What the defense did was, they look at all their choices and they picked the defense that suited them. Because, again, let me reiterate if you two men didn’t hear me, by my own count — and I don’t know the half of it — there are thirteen stories as to who Caylee’s father could be. And now she’s trying to pin it on George yet again? What more does that man have to go through?”

Abrams attempted to shift the focus away from pregnancy rumors and onto Anthony’s theories about her father’s role in her daughter’s death, when Grace interjected that the pregnancy rumors are indeed important because “that was the crux of the case”…. even though “it may not be important to you.”
