New 30 Rock Character To Be “Sean Hannity In A Skirt”
Vice President of East Coast Television and Microwave Oven Programming Jack Donaghy has a new crush, and it’s a conservative TV host.
Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly reports 30 Rock‘s newest guest star will be Elizabeth Banks – and she has an interesting description of the way she’ll play the character.
Here’s the description from Ausiello:
Banks, who is on board for at least four episodes (the first of which airs in February), plays a right-leaning financial guru who falls for fellow conservative Jack (Alec Baldwin) after he appears as a guest on her CNBC talk show. “She’s basically Sean Hannity in a skirt,” she explains. “What’s great about her relationship with Jack is they’re equals. She’s not some [pretty] young thing that he has a fling with. She really challenges him.
“Sean Hannity in a skirt”? Try getting that image out of your head.
It’s interesting also that the chance encounter takes place on a CNBC talk show. Obviously it stays under the NBCU umbrella, but a conservative talk show host on the network? Maybe it’s more Larry Kudlow in a skirt.
It sounds like Banks is familiar with Fox News. She recently tweeted about Brit Hume‘s ‘Tiger should find Christianity‘ comment:

Anyone want to photoshop an image for us to put here?
