What’s bizarre about his last comment, is that:
 a) given that he’s a baby boomer, he’s walking proof that when times get tough people have a lot of sex, and not all of them are married, and
 b) He was 21 when the pill came out, so they definitely had it in his day.

As much as religious organization don’t want to pay for people’s contraception, there is a lot of companies out there who would prefer not to pay 6-week’s maternity/paternity leave, or unnecessary dependent insurance benefits, either. The comments of one sociologist from princton does not equate to a universal truth.  The private sector is driven on performance and profit.  If you provide both of those, it is in the best interest of the company to keep you.   You can create boogy men, and justify poor work ethic with race all you want, but in the end of the day, every place I have ever worked, I have yet to see the dynamic that your smart guy from princton decribes.
