Sean Hannity Tells Off Those Media Elitists With Their Limos and Steaks and Fancy Wine
During a lengthy monologue praising Donald Trump‘s debate performance last night, Sean Hannity attacked the media for being out of touch.
His evidence of such was the fact that the media consensus was Hillary Clinton won but unscientific online polls gave it mostly to Trump.
And then Hannity actually seriously said this (starting at the 4:15 mark):
“Now, my overpaid friends in the media, well, they have their chauffeured limousines, they like their fine steakhouses and expensive wine lifestyles.”
Yes, not all of us can be quite as humble as a New York-based highly-paid cable news host with a highly-rated television program.
Well, the aforementioned elitists responded:
Sean Hannity travels on a GD private jet.

Honestly, good for Sean Hannity. I’m glad he’s successful. But, like, save me the everyman shtick. Go practice your kata.

Hannity awakens in his mud hut, built with his own hands, before walking to Fox News (uphill both ways). He eats air & dresses in moonbeams.

I think Hannity is under the impression reporters get paid a lot more than they do https://t.co/LC0WPGW0bG

Finally, Hannity has clarified to me why I had to leave the media: I get carsick in big cars, I don't eat beef and I don't drink.

This isn’t lame because it’s a very wealthy man’s cheap and naked appeal to populism. It’s lame because it’s a lazy appeal to populism.

Fun fact about many right-wing talkers who rail against “cocktail parties” is that they attend many and usually do so as paid speakers.
