They’re Just Like Us: At MTV Movie Awards, Stars Poke Fun Of Blake Lively’s Nude Photo Scandal

If you’re the sort who successfully avoids gossip items concerning nipples and other parts allegedly belonging to Gossip Girl (and, more importantly, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) actress Blake Lively, then you’re probably unaware that a series of nude photos that may or many not be of Lively have been circulated around the internet. Lively’s people deny the photos are of Lively, as people of other people are wont to do, but they do bear an uncanny resemblance to the blonde star.

Either way, Lively’s colleagues saw it fit to have a little fun at the actress’ expense during last night’s MTV Movie Awards. An earlier report from Zap2It indicated Lively would use the show to poke fun at the incident herself, but that was probably eclipsed by being the butt of jokes by others.

Host Jason Sudeikis introduced Lively and her Green Lantern co-star Ryan Reynolds by announcing her as “someone we believe is the real Blake Lively, though she won’t confirm it.”

Reese Witherspoon found the whole thing to be a teachable moment, instructing the audience that “If you take naked pictures of yourself with your cell phone, you hide your face.” Or, you know. Just don’t take them at all.

Gossip Cop was all over the nude photo story last week. Of course, they also labeled the “poke fun” thing a one on their rumor scale, but in their prior post, they admit that things could change.

As for Jason’s joke and Reese’s remark, I can see why it was worth their mention. The pics and pointers toward them have been racking-up pageviews and there’s a lot of overlap between sexting, MTV, the “Green Lantern” and “Gossip Girl” audience.

Whoops! I forgot to code the “poke fun” link.

Not really a lively discussion, or is it?
