WATCH: President Obama’s Statement on Potential US Strike on Syria

President Obama delivered a taped statement on U.S. military action in Syria at approximately 2:15pm ET Friday from the White House. The President said he is considering a “limited, narrow act” of military intervention in Syria, but has still not made any “final decision.”
“We’re not considering any open ended commitment,” Obama said. “We’re not considering any boots on the ground approach.” He called Bashar al-Assad’s use of chemical weapons a “challenge to the world.”
Earlier this afternoon, Secretary of State John Kerry made a strong case for intervention, citing extensive evidence of chemical weapons attacks by the Bashar al-Assad regime.
