‘It Has To Stop!’ Biden Cites ‘Proud Haitian American’ Karine Jean-Pierre While Slamming Trump for Pet-Eating Conspiracy Theory

President Joe Biden noted that Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is “a proud Haitian-American” while attacking Donald Trump for his pet-eating conspiracy theory.

Recently, the former president claimed at the ABC presidential debate that Haitian immigrants in Ohio are eating cats and dogs off the street. The claim originates from right-wing accounts on X spinning a Fox News report about an Ohio woman who was arrested in August for allegedly killing and eating a cat.

“In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs. The people that came in, they’re eating the cats. They’re eating the pets of the people that live there,” Trump said at the debate before being corrected by ABC News anchor David Muir.

According to multiple reports, there’s no evidence that Haitian immigrants in the Ohio community are harming or eating the animals.

During a speech at the White House on Friday, Biden addressed Trump’s recent comments while calling for it “to stop”:

Now I want to take a moment to say something like so many Americans like Karine. As she points out, a proud Haitian American. A community that’s under attack in our country right now. Simply wrong, has no place in America. This has to stop. What he’s doing has to stop. Now, thank you all for being here. This historic day today. Recognize that this nation would not exist. And that’s literally without the blood, sweat, and tears, but the determination, dreams, and contributions of Black Americans.
