WATCH: Biden Makes First Public Appearance Since Dropping Out

President Joe Biden appeared in public for the first time on Tuesday since announcing that he would no longer seek reelection.

Fox News cameras caught Biden preparing to board Air Force One on his way back to the White House from his family home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Several pool reporters were present and asked Biden questions as he walked from his motorcade to the plane. He declined to answer, except to say he was feeling “well” when one reporter asked how he was feeling. Biden has been recovering from Covid-19 and tested negative for the virus on Tuesday. His doctor also issued a letter stating that his symptoms had been resolved.

Fox anchor John Roberts wasn’t surprised that Biden didn’t take questions, saying that the president was probably “holding fire” until he addressed the nation himself in a primetime address on Wednesday.

Biden called in to Vice President Kamala Harris’s first campaign event on Monday at the newly-branded Harris HQ in Delaware. He told campaign volunteers over the phone: “The name has changed the top of the ticket, but the mission hasn’t changed at all, and by the way, I’m not going anywhere. I’m gonna be out there on the campaign with her, with Kamala. I’m going to be working like hell, both as a sitting president getting legislation passed, as well as campaigning. You know, what we still need to save is democracy, and Trump is still a danger to the community, he’s a danger to the nation.”
