Dropkick Murphys Singer Berates Fan Showing Off MAGA Hat During St. Patrick’s Day Concert: ‘Shut the F**k Up!’

The lead singer of the popular Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys told a MAGA follower to “shut the fuck up” during a series of St. Patrick’s Day shows.
The concert incident occured after Dropkick Murphys singer Ken Casey made an appearance on the MeidasTouch podcast where he laid into President Donald Trump and X owner Elon Musk.
During one of multiple weekend shows at the MGM Music Hall at Boston’s Fenway Park, Casey ranted against MAGA, saying Trump supporters wearing red MAGA hats are “dying their brains.” Casey also called out the “Elon Musk true Nazi edition,” referring to Musk’s black MAGA hat he’s been seen wearing in the White House.
He then specifically called out a concertgoer who had been showing off a white MAGA hat.
“My man here is getting ready for summer with a nice fucking light white one, alright?” Casey said in video posted by MeidasTouch. “Listen, bro, I admire your dedication, but I will ask everyone, if you’re in a room full of people and you want to know who is in a cult, how do you know who is in a cult? They’ve been holding up a fucking hat the whole night to represent a president. This is America! There’s no kings here!”
Casey, who has been outspoken with his criticism of Trump in the past, then asked if the concertgoer would mind if they played a song “about our grandparents and people who fought Nazis in the war.”
“So if you could just shut the fuck up for five minutes,” Casey said.
Critics noted that the band’s Twitter account was suspended after Casey’s comments, but that suspension appears to predate Casey’s talk, according to web archives.
On Monday, Casey appeared on the MeidasTouch podcast, where he ripped into Trump and Musk.
“The two guys in charge, whoever you want to call the president, I’m not sure which really is, they literally laugh at working-class people,” he said.
Casey called the president a “rat and a coward” who “is the exact opposite of everything we sing about.”
“He’s turned on America’s friends and our allies. He’s a rat and a coward when you think of it that way,” the singer said.
