St. Patrick’s Day is in full effect on the streets of Boston.
Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker was spotted in a local bar downing tequila shots during the holiday celebration. Video footage posted to Twitter on Saturday shows the governor knocking back a shot and quickly biting into a slice of lime right after — as any professional drinker does with tequila.
Twitter user Becca Ruesch posted a video of Baker to the social media platform – which you can watch above – writing, “This just in: Charlie Baker, the Governor of Massachusetts, is taking shots with the locals in Southie #Boston.”
Baker appeared to celebrate the festivities throughout Saturday, posting photos from the parade to Twitter with the caption, “From Dot to Southie, Happy #StPatricksDay!”
For that reason, we won’t be judging the governor for drinking tequila on a day when whiskey or beer should be the go-to alcohol selection.
