Amy Schumer Was Once Told if she Weighed Over 140 Lbs. She Would ‘Hurt People’s Eyes’

amy schumerAmy Schumer is known for being strong, confident, and of course, hilarious. She’s also faced her fair share (anyone’s fair share, really) of scrutiny about her weight and appearance. This week, she appeared on The U.K.’s The Jonathan Ross Show and talked about Hollywood pressure to be thin.

When discussing Trainwreck, she said, ” it was explained to me before I did that movie [Trainwreck] that if you weigh over 140 pounds as a woman in Hollywood, if you’re on the screen it will hurt people’s eyes.”

She said that she learned it doesn’t really matter, and that she doesn’t need to do what other people tell her to do. “I didn’t know that,” she said, “but never again.”

We like the Schumer who is comfortable with herself- the one who says things like “I’m probably like 160 pounds right now, and I can catch a d*ck whenever I want-” best.
