Jake Tapper Resurrects Haunted Ronald McDonald Doll During Solar Eclipse, Demented Mission Now Includes Elf on the Shelf

Monday marked the alignment of the Moon, the Earth, and the Sun, resulting in a total solar eclipse that was viewable across a swath of North America. It also apparently summoned the return of one of the most disturbing entities ever covered in Mediaite history.
Jake Tapper’s haunted Ronald McDonald doll has returned. And he is not alone.
CNN’s star anchor first subjected the world to this horror back in the summer of 2023, randomly stationing the terrifying doll at his colleagues’ desks at CNN headquarters, with full knowledge that it was carrying an angry, demented spirit that could wreak havoc on whomever it came into contact with. At the time, Tapper wrote on Instagram – without remorse – “I bought this and now I put it in the chairs of various staffers at work.”
And now, on the day of a total solar eclipse that will not be seen again in this hemisphere for another two decades and while Mercury is retrograde and there’s a New Moon in Aries (an astrological sign ruled by Mars, a god of war), Tapper has struck once again, and now the blasphemous mockery of Americana has an accomplice: the Elf on a Shelf.

Tapper wrote, clearly compelled by the demonic entity within the doll:
RONNY™️ SEZ: don’t look at the eclipse without your special glasses, folks!
Once again – no remorse.
As for the Elf on the Shelf – who is, notably, not wearing eclipse glasses and stowing away in a CNN Max popcorn container like another ruthless bringer of doom – his mission is unclear.
Jake Tapper had no comment because Mediaite was too afraid to ask for one. Maybe when Mercury goes direct.
