PHOTOS: Alex Guarnaschelli’s Book Launch Veered Into Lovefest Territory With Wylie Dufresne, Josh Capon, And Cake

Last night, Food Network Magazine threw its homegirl (and newest crowned Iron Chef) Alex Guarnaschelli a book launch party at her NYC restaurant Butter, in celebration of her latest title Old School Comfort Food: The Way I Learned To Cook. Rather than the stuffy elbow-rub-athon that these things tend to be, the event was basically a celebrity chef lovefest of epic proportion.
Treme alums Wylie Dufresne, Alfred Portale, and Jonathan Waxman all stopped by to wish her well. (Fun degrees-of-separation fact: Wylie is married to the editor-in-chief of Food Network Magazine, and we spent the entire night lusting over her springy ensemble).
Self-professed Food Network newb Justin Warner showed up to assume his rightful place in celeb chefdom.
Not pictured below, but also spotted: Chef Josh Capon, Butter/Top Chef: Las Vegas alum Ashley Merriman, erstwhile TC:JD host Johnny Iuzzini (in full beard and wearing a motorcycle jacket, natch), and Food Network Goddess of Programming (her official title) Susie Fogelson.
