Andrew Carmellini’s Lafayette Opens Today, Everybody Freak Out
Guys: Now would be the time to go check out Carbone and Alder, because, as Wylie Dufresne put it, they’ll both be totally dead now that Andrew Carmellini’s Lafayette is open for business. The bakery opened bright and early this morning, and the restaurant welcomes its first patrons starting at 5:30pm.
The French bistro joins previously successful Team Carmellini (made up of Josh Pickard and Luke Ostrom) ventures Locanda Verde and The Dutch. Time Out has a sneak peek of the menu. Eater’s got photos. Grub Street is watching the reservation lines like charcuterie-starved refugees.
Join the fun; everybody freak out!
Maybe we can get a table at Mission Chinese this week.
