The Cake Boss’ Brother-In-Law Convicted As A Sex Offender

After that Morgan Wilson kiddie porn bust, we didn’t think we would be surprised by any other celebrity chef sex scandals. But, Cake Boss Buddy Valastro apparently made a poor decision in hiring his brother-in-law Remy Gonzalez at the bake shop. Mostly because now that Remy has been convicted of sexually assaulting a 13 year old girl, Buddy’s name shows up in the headline. Ouch.

Remy plead guilty to two assault charges back in June, but, when it came time for sentencing, he tried to withdraw his pleas, claiming he was ill-advised by his lawyer. No can do, pal, said the judge. Remy has been sentenced to nine years in prison for the crime, and prosecutors say he’ll most likely be deported back to Mexico after his release. The streets of Hoboken are safe-ish once more. Let this be a lesson ladies: be wary of accepting cupcakes from strangers, even if their butter cream appears perfectly executed.
