Is Eddie Lin Going To Be A Permanent Judge On The Taste Season 2?

LA Magazine’s food editors are having quite the television renaissance. First, Lesley Bargar Suter, head of its dining section, guest judges an episode of Hell’s Kitchen ahead of her upcoming Top Chef: Masters permanent judging gig, and now we have evidence that LA Mag’s Digest Blogger Eddie Lin might snag a seat beside Anthony Bourdain and Nigella Lawson on Season 2 of The Taste.
As ABC seemed to indicate by conspicuously leaving them out of promotional materials for next season, Brian Malarkey and Ludo Lefebvre are out, and while we’re having a grand time speculating about who should replace them, Eddie snuck this tweet under the radar today:
I'm gonna be all judgy 'n stuff. The Taste Season 2 auditions! Hope to see you in Nashville or NYC!! http://t.co/y4JDrlkyd9 @TheTasteABC
— Eddie Lin (@DeepEndDining) June 21, 2013
Certainly sounds like he’s scored one of the permanent judging seats. Lin is also the founder of the food blog Deep End Dining, and host/judge of YouTube show Kamikaze Kitchen, which ambushes restaurant chefs with a mystery ingredient they have to prepare. Congrats on your new gig, Eddie! (We think?)
