Meet Allesandra and Jake, two kids under the age of 12 who have been selected by corporate sponsor Bounty to compete in some sort of hunger games. In this competition, they have to satiate the hunger of famed chefs John Besh and Aaron Sanchez to win the coveted title of SuperChef Kids, $5,000, and a year’s worth of grain rations for their district. With Carla Hall providing commentary, the kids struggle to replicate Sanchez’s pesto with celantro cilantro, give some talking head interviews, Top Chef style, and attempt to win our love with their adorableness while they struggle with child-sized food processors.
