WATCH: The ‘Next Great Baker’ Gets Dressed Down On Season Premiere Of Cake Boss

In January, Marissa Lopez won the title of The Next Great Baker on TLC, which comes with a $100,000 cash prize, a four-page spread in Brides magazine, and an internship with Buddy Valastro at Carlo’s Bakery.

Last night, the famiglia gave her flak for not frosting a cake the Carlo’s Bakery way on the season premiere of Cake Boss.

In response to her questions about how the bakery handled certain tasks — frosting a cake, for instance – she was often met with “I dunno, you’re The Next Great Baker.”

And when Buddy asked Marissa to make a three-tieahed wedding cake covahed in white fawndawnt, of course the boys of Carlo’s Bakery have to lovingly harrass the newbie.
