Tom Colicchio and wife Lori Silverbush, who together made the film A Place at the Table, documenting the 1 in 6 food insecure people in America, made an appearance on CBS This Morning to remind us that canned food drives and high-rolling charity dinners aren’t enough to keep all working families fed this Thanksgiving.

It’s up to you to pester politicians so that this little girl featured below doesn’t envision her teacher as a giant, scrumptious banana during class because she’s so hungry she can’t focus. (On the bright side, at least she can identify a banana, which is more than those impoverished Jamie Oliver kids managed.)
