‘Is He Dead Yet?’ Democratic Party Volunteer Sparks Outrage By Giving Trump-Hating Bracelet to Child

Wisconsin’s Winnebago County Democratic Party is being lambasted after a volunteer was accused of giving a bracelet reading “Is He Dead Yet?” — referring to President Donald Trump — to an 8-year-old at a local farmer’s market.

Fox WLUK 11, Fox’s local station covering Green Bay and its surrounding cities, reported Katy Neubauer and her family were attending the Oshkosh Farmers Market last Saturday when the twisted moment took place.

“The guy behind the tent table said, ‘Hey, give this to your mom, she’s going to really want this,’ and one of the children comes running up, gives us the bracelet and we’re looking at it and it literally says ‘Is He Dead Yet?’ on the bracelet,” Neubauer told reporter Tony Langfellow.

“It’s hate speech,” Neubauer said. “It’s literally wishing death on somebody, which isn’t appropriate in any scenario.”

Fox 11 did not get a picture of the bracelet.

The manager of the farmers market told Fox 11 it received about 10 complaints about the bracelets; she also confirmed it was handed out from the Winnebago County Democratic Party’s booth.

Michelle Schmid-Schultz, the market manager, said the bracelets “did break market rules” against “hate speech,” but that the party’s booth would still be allowed at future markets.

The report, from Monday, noted Fox 11 tried to get questions answered by the Winnebago County Democratic Party, but were told everyone was on vacation for Columbus Day.

Democratic Party of Wisconsin Comms Director Philip Shulman texted Fox 11 the following statement:

The materials brought by a volunteer without the authorization of the Party are not in line with our values and we regret this happened.

Cameron Clark, the chairman of the Republican Party of Winnebago County, said it was concerning to hear about — especially a month after the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

“We are at a time in our country where political violence is at an all-time high, and to have one of the major parties out there continuing to perpetuate it would be very sad,” Clark told Fox 11.

Libs of TikTok noticed the report and shared it to X, where it had about 275,000 views by Tuesday afternoon.
