Joe Rogan Shocked by Americans ‘Cheering’ Murder of Charlie Kirk: ‘What the F*ck Is Wrong With Us?’

Joe Rogan has been shocked by how many people were “cheering” the murder of Charlie Kirk in recent weeks, with the podcast star saying the killing has “opened up my eyes” to how sick some of his fellow Americans are.

“I never expected so many people would celebrate that man’s murder. Bizarre. Just bizarre,” Rogan said during an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience on Tuesday. “Just normal people that I think think they’re good people and they genuinely think that guy was a bad guy. And I don’t think they’re right, and I think they were indoctrinated — and I don’t agree with everything Charlie Kirk said or did. But he’s not a bad guy.”

Rogan continued a moment later:

The fact that people were cheering when he died, normal people — housewives, moms, like f*ckin’ people working at banks, people working in various industries — celebrating a man getting shot in front of his kids and in front of the whole world, like, what the f*ck is wrong with us?

One of his guests, Brandon Coleman of the country band The Red Clay Strays, agreed, saying it was “evil” to see people posting happily about Kirk’s murder on social media.

Kirk was 31 years old when he was shot and killed at an event at Utah Valley University last month. Some liberals immediately celebrated the conservative activist’s slaying on Instagram and other platforms — and many of them were fired for doing so.

“It’s just not a thing to celebrate, ever,” Rogan added. “And especially when you’re seeing people on the left that are supposed to be progressives — these are supposed to be the kind, compassionate, inclusive people — that are celebrating gun violence, [and a] public execution. That’s insane.”

Rogan was similarly stunned on Sept. 10 when he heard Kirk had been shot while in the middle of recording a podcast with Charlie Sheen. Rogan said the news did not seem “real” at the time.

Kirk was never a guest on Rogan’s podcast, but Rogan, during that same episode, mentioned he met Kirk once at a gun range and that he was a “nice guy.”

On his Tuesday podcast, Rogan said he believed many of Kirk’s haters do not even understand his positions; social media, he said, has “poisoned” their brains and given them a “twisted” view of Kirk and everyone else.
