Biden White House Hits Back At ‘Vicious Terrorist Organization’ Hamas Over Criticism Of Anti-Israel Protests

President Joe Biden’s White House hit back at Hamas after the “vicious terrorist organization” criticized the administration over anti-Israel protests at universities.

Earlier this week, President Biden weighed in on the anti-Semitic and violent rhetoric being directed at Jews during protests at Columbia University in an exchange with reporters:

A Hamas spokesperson named Bassam Naim denounced the Biden White House in a statement to Newsweek:

“The American administration’s attempts to suppress these activities will not change the reality of the situation, whether regarding the justice of the Palestinian cause or the brutality and racism of the Israeli occupation,” Naim said. “We believe that suppressing these activities will increase the youth’s adherence to their position and reveal the falsity of American democracy.”

White House senior communications adviser Andrew Bates smacked down the criticism in a statement emailed to Mediaite:

Hamas is a vicious terrorist organization that has spent decades murdering innocents. Hamas perpetrated the deadliest massacre of the Jewish people since the Holocaust, which makes them the least credible voice that exists on this subject. Hamas’ disapproval, after their acts of “unadulterated evil” – which they’ve pledged to repeat “again and again” – is a testament to President Biden’s moral clarity.
