Bill Clinton Praised Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘Childlike Curiosity’ in Birthday Letter: WSJ

Former President Bill Clinton handwrote a personal note to Jeffrey Epstein for the disgraced financier’s 50th birthday album, praising his “childlike curiosity.”

The note appeared in a leather-bound birthday book compiled in 2003 by Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate who remains in prison for her role in his sex trafficking activities, and published in an exclusive report from The Wall Street Journal on Thursday.

The book, which also included entries from Donald Trump, billionaire Leon Black, and fashion designer Vera Wang, was reportedly prepared ahead of Epstein’s first arrest in 2006.

Clinton’s contribution, in what The Journal described as his “distinctive scrawl,” reads:

It’s reassuring isn’t it, to have lasted as long, across all the years of learning and knowing, adventures and [illegible word], and also to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference and the solace of friends.

A Clinton spokesman declined to comment on the letter itself, instead pointing to a prior statement asserting that the former president’s ties with Epstein ended over a decade before Epstein’s 2019 arrest. Clinton has denied any knowledge of Epstein’s criminal conduct and insists his encounters, including travel aboard Epstein’s private jet, were linked to Clinton Foundation work and always included Secret Service detail.

The bombshell comes just days after The Journal reported that Trump also contributed a risqué letter to the album, allegedly including a drawing of a naked woman.

Trump denied the letter’s authenticity, launching a $10 billion defamation lawsuit against The Journal, News Corp, and its owner Rupert Murdoch, calling the piece “fake” and vowing to “sue his ass off.”
