Suspect Vance Boelter Arrested in Deadly Minnesota Shooting Targeting Democrats

The suspect in the deadly Minnesota shootings targeting Democrats has been arrested after a tw0-day manhunt.
Shortly after the news broke, the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office shared a photo from the scene of the arrest.
Independent journalist Liz Collin and Chief Political Reporter for KSTP-TV in St. Paul Tom Hauser were among the first reporters to break the news on X, with Collin adding that, “At one point he was tucked in the fetal position and then began to army crawl until he eventually stood up to surrender,” she reported from those sources.
ABC News in an early report wrote:
The massive search for the man suspected of the fatal shootings of Minnesota lawmakers concluded on Sunday evening when he was arrested by police, multiple sources confirmed to ABC News.
Vance Boelter, 57, was arrested near his farm in Green Isle, Minnesota. He was spotted on a trail via camera earlier Sunday and then taken into custody, sources said.
And the Minnesota Star Tribune said in a live update:
Shooting suspect Vance Boelter was arrested by authorities late Sunday evening in Sibley County, according to a high-ranking state official.
Republican Speaker of the Minnesota House Lisa Demuth issued a statement very soon after the arrest was reported.
“I’m grateful that this nightmare has come to an end with the suspect captured so he can be charged, prosecuted, & punished for the horror he has wrought on MN, she wrote. “Thank you to the local, state, & federal officials who ensured this evil man faces justice.”
