Burger King Prez Pleads for McDonald’s Fan Trump to Visit BK ‘More Often’ When Asked About Canada Trade War

A Burger King exec has a bit of a beef with President Donald Trump.

If the head of the fast food chain’s U.S.-Canada division could have it his way America’s commander in chief would hunger for the burger spot a little more — instead of always turning to the McDonald’s.

During a segment on CNN News Central Wednesday with anchor Kate Bolduan, BK exec Tom Curtis discussed the current trade war with Canada, saying the current spat could increase the company’s costs.

Bolduan then asked Curtis, who pledged to hold the line on pricing, what he’d want from the Trump administration.

“What’s your ask to the administration. Look, I mean you’re a huge company. I mean, you, not that they are, maybe not asking for advice here, but what is your advice when you’re looking at what is now a renewed trade war?”

“Yeah. Well, you’re right, the administration isn’t listening to us,” said Curtis, who was on hand to tout the company’s revamped chicken nuggets which debut Sept. 1.

“And if I had one ask of the administration, it would be that stop having photo ops in the competitors restaurants and come to ours more often,” he said, laughing.

“Yeah. So what what does it feel like when RFK Jr. says he gets on Air Force One and he sees boxes and boxes of McDonald’s?”

“Yeah. Darn it,” he said, laughing. “If he only knew.”

Bolduan was referencing a 2024 moment after Trump was elected to his second term in which now-Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is notoriously fixated on health, called the fast food Trump was known to consume on the campaign flights “poison.”

Days later, a social media photo of RFK Jr. went viral after he was snapped with Trump, Elon Musk, and Donald Trump Jr. at a table full of burgers and fries — with Kennedy looking less than pleased.
