‘Drip, Drip, Drip’: The Internet Goes Ballistic Over Bombshell Epstein Emails About Trump and ‘The Girls’

Shocking emails released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday shed more light on the relationship between Jeffrey Epstein and President Donald Trump — and the internet is going ballistic.
In one of the messages, addressed to co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell by Epstein in April 2011, the latter wrote:
i want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump..[VICTIM] spent hours at my house with him ,, he has never once been mentioned. police chief. etc. im 75 % there
In another email authored by Epstein, this one addressed to author Michael Wolff in 2019, he wrote:
[VICTIM] mara lago. [REDACTED] . trump said he asked me to resign, never a member ever. . Of course he knew about the girls as he asked ghislaine to stop
There was also this 2015 exchange between Epstein and Wolff:

“I think you should let him hang himself. If he says he hasn’t been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency. You can hang him in a way that potentially generates a positive benefit for you, or, if it really looks like he could win, you could save him, generating a debt. Of course, it is possible that, when asked, he’ll say Jeffrey is a great guy and has gotten a raw deal and is a victim of political correctness, which is to be outlawed in a Trump regime.”
Naturally, social media’s reaction to the messages was- well, it wasn’t muted.
“There’s no reason for Epstein to write in private that Trump spent hours alone with a young girl Epstein brought him—around the time of his 6th wedding anniversary with Melania—unless it was true,” submitted conservative book editor Eric Nelson.
“Jeffrey Epstein said in an email that Trump ‘knew about the girls.’ That’s not a smoking gun it’s a bonfire,” offered Pod Save America‘s Tommy Vietor. “And of course he did! Epstein recruited women from Mar-a-Lago. All of this is why Ghislaine Maxwell got a moved to a low-security prison.”
Never one to jump to conclusions, Ed Krassenstein declared, “WOW! Trump is guilty! He’s sick!”
“Where there’s smoke there’s fire…” mused Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ).
“Drip drip drip. And this is nothing compared to what’s coming when the full Trump-Epstein files (those still buried by the FBI/DOJ) finally get released,” predicted The Young Turks’ David Shuster.
The first email here seems pretty notable,” observed The New York Times‘ Ross Douthat in reference to Epstein’s message to Maxwell.
