Fox’s Brit Hume Hits Pete Hegseth For Lashing Out at Colleague Jen Griffin: ‘The Attack on Her Was Unfair!’

Fox News chief political analyst Brit Hume went to bat for his colleague — chief national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin — after she was attacked during a news conference by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Hegseth accused Griffin of being “about the worst” among the press corps — claiming she distorted comments from President Donald Trump in her reporting about the U.S. strike on Iran.

“Jennifer, you’ve been about the worst, the one who misrepresents the most intentionally what the president says,” Hegseth said.

Speaking with anchors Dana Perino and Bill Melugin on America’s Newsroom Thursday, Hume hit Hegseth for going after Griffin pubicly.

“I’d like to say a word, if I may Dana, about Jennifer Griffin, who was attacked by the Defense Secretary today,” Hume said. “An attack she certainly, in my view, did not deserve. Her professionalism, her knowledge, and her experience at the Pentagon is unmatched. And I have then, have had and still have, the greatest regard for her.”

Hume added, “The attack on her was unfair!”
