Fox News contributor and former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Caitlyn Jenner celebrated the news of old Kardashian family friend O.J. Simpson’s death on Thursday.

Following news that Simpson – the former NFL player who was controversially acquitted for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman in 1995 – had died following a battle with prostate cancer, Jenner wrote, “Good Riddance #OJSimpson.”

Simpson was a close friend of the Kardashian family and was represented by Robert Kardashian – the late father of Jenner’s stepchildren Kourtney, Khloe, and Kim Kardashian – in his murder trial.

According to reports, Simpson allegedly bragged about having an affair with Caitlyn Jenner’s ex-wife Kris Jenner in the 1990s, and in 2009, Khloe Kardashian revealed that she and her sisters had referred to Simpson as “Uncle O.J.”

In 2021, Kim Kardashian received backlash after she made a joke about Simpson leaving “marks” on women. Tanya Brown, sister Simpson’s murdered ex-wife Nicole, described Kardashian’s joke as “beyond inappropriate and insensitive.”

Caitlyn Jenner also appeared to be on friendly terms with Simpson, appearing in several photographs with the former NFL player.

Jenner did not elaborate with her social media post on Thursday or explain the exact cause of her grievances with Simpson.
