‘HANDS OFF!’ Dem Senator Gets Manhandled By Security, Shoved Out of Kristi Noem Presser in Wild Video

A Democratic Senator was shoved out of a press conference being held by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in a wild scene Thursday.

In footage captured by Fox News’ Bill Melugin as well as MSNBC, Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA) was manhandled by security personnel at Noem’s news conference in L.A. — and eventually shoved out of the room.

“I’m Senator Alex Padilla, I have questions for the secretary,” Padilla said, as four security staffers grabbed him and forced him toward the doors. “Because the fact of the matter of is, a half-a-dozen violent criminals, that you’re rotating on your — on your — HANDS OFF!”

NBC 4 Los Angeles, in its account of the stunning altercation, noted that Padilla told Noem, “You insist on exaggerating.”

Padilla has been a vocal critic of President Donald Trump federalizing the National Guard to quell demonstrations in downtown L.A. against ICE raids.

“Let’s be clear: what you’re all seeing on the news about the Los Angeles region right now is a crisis that Donald Trump has created, and he’s doing it to distract from his failed agenda,” Padilla said on the Senate floor Tuesday.

Melugin reports that after he stopped filming, Padilla was actually taken to the ground by FBI personnel.

“I’m told Noem is in a room meeting with Senator Padilla right now,” Melugin wrote on X. “After I stopped recording, my team witnessed him being taken to the ground by FBI personnel and he was temporarily detained. Awaiting further details on what happened out of our view.”

Additional video provided by Padilla’s staff to Fox 11 LA’s Elex Michaelson seems to confirm this reporting — as the footage shows Padilla being taken down and handcuffed.
