Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) went after Vice President JD Vance in a blistering social media rant Monday night after he branded her a “disgrace” over remarks she made during a resurfaced 2018 interview.

It all started on Sunday when the Libs of TikTok X account shared a clip from an Omar interview with Mehdi Hasan — then of Al Jazeera — that was recorded back in February 2018.

In it, Omar said, “Our country should be more fearful of white men across our country because they are actually causing most of the deaths within this country. We should be profiling, monitoring, and creating policies to fight the radicalization of white men.”

Vance shared the Libs of TikTok post the following day, saying, “This isn’t just sick; it’s actually genocidal language.”

He added: “What a disgrace this person is.”

Later that evening, Omar responded to Vance’s post, saying, “In this nearly 8yr old clip, I am referring to the rise of white nationalism in an annual report issued by the Anti-Defamation League that said white supremacists were responsible for 78 percent of ‘extremist-related murders.'”

She also blasted the vice president and challenged him to “look up what ‘genocidal’ actually means when you’re actively supporting a genocide taking place in Gaza.”
