Vice President JD Vance was reportedly turned away from a British pub after a staff mutiny, just weeks after former Vice President Kamala Harris was hosted at the location, according to reports.

The staff of The Bull, which has a Michelin Bib Gourmand award, in Charlbury, Oxfordshire, reportedly objected to Vance’s dinner booking and told management they wouldn’t show up to work if the vice president were there.

“Unfortunately, I’m not able to comment,” a staff member told The Daily Beast when asked about the protest.

A source familiar with the situation told Mediaite that The Bull was “included as a potential option for lunch” for the vice president and his family, but they ultimately decided not to go and they received no indication that they were not welcome.

Harris dined at the pub just weeks prior as she attended the wedding of Steve Jobs’s daughter, Eve.

Demonstrations have plagued Vance’s vacation in the English Cotswolds. At a Tuesday protest, demonstrators waved signs with messages like “GO AWAY” and “WAR CRIMINAL.”

“You know, he spent the weekend with our foreign secretary and so I think that means, you know, anything goes, really. I think, you know, you have to be respectful of people, but at the same time, he’s here, he’s carrying out political business, and it’s appropriate to carry out a political protest,” one protestor told The Guardian.

A group called “Everyone Hates Elon” also drove a van around Vance’s vacation spot, sporting a meme of a bloated Vance face on the side.
