Jim Jordan-Run Twitter Account Deletes Rick-Roll Tweet About Epstein Files After Major Backlash

The House Judiciary Committee run by Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) sent out a tweet pranking followers over the Jeffrey Epstein files.
That post has now been deleted.
On Thursday, conservative online political influencers were seen at the White House holding binders that read “The Epstein Files: Phase 1” hours after Attorney General Pam Bondi promised to release the DOJ’s information on the infamous sex trafficker. However, the documents compiled by the DOJ did not provide the scandalous information the public has long sought.
Republicans running the GOP Judiciary Committee X account thought it would be wise to tweet out a link to the Epstein files that actually leads users to a video of Rick Astley’s music video for “Never Gonna Give You Up.”

“#BREAKING: EPSTEIN FILES RELEASED,” the account wrote, leading to appalled reactions from both Democrats and Republicans. Users slammed the Republican-led account for appearing to make light of a case relating to child sex trafficking.
There’s still time to delete this

Are you really making a joke out of an extremely serious case which ruined the lives of hundreds of children and their families? This is no better than the clown show earlier today at the White House with these idiots, delete this garbage. pic.twitter.com/seMl6DQ5YX

Sending the American people to a tiny url that redirects to an unknown destination is a great way to ensure trust in the cybersecurity domain.

Help me understand what the thought process could possibly be about doing a rickroll for the Epstein files. https://t.co/IpFNAylxov pic.twitter.com/4ptsKGqKFN

Rickrolling on a post related to a child sex trafficking ring?
That’s a bold move. https://t.co/hS2WUbYTGz pic.twitter.com/Vmc8FoYmWI
