Rudy Giuliani was seriously injured in a car accident this weekend, the former New York City mayor’s representative told The New York Post.

The 81-year-old has been hospitalized “with a fractured vertebrae and multiple cuts and bruises, including injuries specifically to his left arm and lower leg,” the report said.

The accident happened in New Hampshire after his rental car was rear-ended “at high speed.”

Spokesman Michael Ragusa said, “Mayor Giuliani was flagged down by a woman who was a victim of domestic violence prior to the accident. He rendered assistance and contacted 911, remaining on scene until responding officers arrived to ensure her safety.”

Ragusa, who is head of Giuliani’s security, added that the mayor is in “great spirits.”

“He’s a beast. He survived 9/11,” Ragusa told The Post.

Giuliani was mayor of NYC and served as an advisor and personal attorney for President Donald Trump, and is now a right wing media personality and controversial political figure.
