MAGA Finds a New Way To Spin Trump Admin’s Epstein Conclusions — Keeping the Conspiracy Alive

As the MAGA-sphere continues to rage over the Department of Justice memo effectively ending the probe into the Jeffery Epstein case, some right wing figures are coming up with creative ways to spin the story in Donald Trump’s favor.

The joint DOJ and FBI memo released on Monday stated that “no further disclosure would be appropriate” in the case of the infamous financier and sex offender — going on to claim that the DOJ is not in possession of an Epstein ‘client list,’ nor does it have evidence of other perpetrators.

The announcement was met with shock and anger from many in Trump-world, with special vitriol reserved for Attorney General Pam Bondi — who told Fox News in February that she had the client list sitting on her desk.

But while Tucker Carlson and other MAGA faithful see the move as a betrayal, other supporters have come up with theories that cast the president in a kinder light.

Right-wing commentator and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who broke down in tears when the memo was released, speculated with television personality Judge Joe Brown that the administration is using the files to blackmail the ‘deep state.’

“He [Trump] has taken control of the FBI CIA blackmail file, and now I suddenly see the deep state more and more rolling over,” Jones told Brown on The Alex Jones Show on Tuesday.

“The best approximation I’ve got is they get the files, they raid the FBI, the FBI raids the FBI five months ago…they then load the gun, cock the gun, point it at the deep states head and now the NATO, everybody is suddenly kissing Trumps butt.”

Brown agreed, theorizing that when Trump personally kept classified documents, they were actually the Epstein files that the president was protecting from being “turned over to the people who were recorded doing wrong.”

“They would destroy it,” said Brown.

Columnist and QAnon believer Liz Crokin had a similar theory, telling an X stream meeting that she was looking at the case “from a 30,000 foot view.”

“If President Trump’s DOJ is going to prosecute those people based off of the current FBI’s investigation, they are not going to release evidence that’s going to hurt those cases right now,” said Crokin.

“I think that what we’re seeing is a lot of kabuki theater that is very strategic to keep the people who are involved in this ring guessing and on the run,” she continued, before calling the memo “phycological warfare.”
