MAGA Influencers Rage After Trump Rebuffs Them on Epstein: ‘The EPSTEIN AFFAIR is Not Going Away’

President Donald Trump’s stunning rebuke of his own base for their continued focus on the Jeffrey Epstein story has not been well received by many prominent MAGA influencers.

The backlash followed a shocking Truth Social post by the president on Saturday afternoon in which he went after his supporters for not letting the story go away criticizing his Attorney General Pam Bondi over her handling of the Epstein probe.

“What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?’” Trump wrote. “They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening. We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and ‘selfish people’ are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein. For years, it’s Epstein, over and over again.”

Trump also made the confounding claim that the Epstein files were “written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals of the Biden Administration.” Far-right podcaster Benny Johnson had trouble making sense of Trump’s claim.

“By admitting that the Epstein Files are real, and have been written, and that you’ve read them, and you don’t like their contents, and they were written by your enemies, it doesn’t make the most compelling case as far as I’m concerned,” Johnson said. “Holy moly.”

Retired Gen. Mike Flynn — who served as national security advisor to Trump during his first term — warned Trump that the story won’t go away on its own.

“@RealDonaldTrump, please understand the EPSTEIN AFFAIR is not going away,” Flynn wrote.

And many other prominent figures in the MAGA sphere made their voices heard following Trump’s rebuke. Here’s a small sampling of the reaction:
