Pro-Trump Brian Glenn Cuts Off Maggie Haberman’s Brutal Grilling On Jailing Protesters In Air Force One Scrum

President Donald Trump used a phone-a-friend when CNN commentator and New York Times White House correspondent Maggie Haberman was grilling him about trying to imprison protesters who yelled at him, tagging in Real America’s Voice Chief White House Correspondent Brian Glenn as he cut in to ask a question.

Trump staged a photo op at Joe’s Seafood in Washington, D.C., to promote his police crackdown earlier this month, but was booed on his way in and out of the restaurant, and accosted by protesters calling him “Hitler” while inside.

During an Oval Office photo op on Monday, Trump suggested the protesters could be prosecuted under RICO statutes.

Trump emerged into the press cabin aboard Air Force One Thursday on the flight back from his trip to London, and faced a stiff grilling from Haberman. When Glenn interrupted her follow-up, Trump seized on the chance to ask him for validation:

MAGGIE HABERMAN: Mr. President, you said earlier this week that the women who yelled at you, who were protesting when you were at Joe’s Stone Crab, should be in jail. Do you actually think that that is an offense that deserves jail time?

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: I don’t know how they got in there, but certainly I thought it was very inappropriate and they said things that were very, and it was a question of when you take a look at the way they acted, the way that they behaved, yeah, I think they were threatened.

BRIAN GLENN: What should the–

MAGGIE HABERMAN: Do you think they deserve jail–.

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Do you agree with it?

BRIAN GLENN: I think they’re a nasty organization– do you think they deserve jail?

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Go ahead.

BRIAN GLENN: Well, I dunno.

What should Congress focus on?
